About Colby

Kern is actually my middle name. I'm always asked where Kern came from, and truthfully I don't know. My parents thought it sounded cool, I guess. I am a pursuing an interior design degree and minoring in photography. I also have an extensive background in theatre, though I haven't acted in awhile.

This blog is an extension of colbykern.com. I felt it was necessary to begin a project where I could feel more free to share my thoughts and a lot more of my photography. For awhile, I have been trying to mix this into the colbykern blog, but it just isn't jiving and is taking away from that blog's purpose.

What's the purpose of this blog then? Fuck you, there isn't one. Everything here will be from me though, and it will feature a lot of my (until now) unpublished photography. This will not be like my other blog, and I would not recommend pulling it up at work or school. Here, I will be showing things I am not able to share on my blog...no this isn't a porn blog, sorry. It is a showcase of my photography and commentary. Take it as you will, I don't really care...that's the beauty of this space: it's mine.
